The comb works fantastic. But the on/off button needs to be went since it’s so simple to turn the comb off by mistake while using it.

I have medium length hair that I relax and wanted a hot comb to use in between upset ups. I realized that this iron is excellent to tidy the rest of the hair but not near the root as I wanted it. Every time I got close I burned the heck out of me. So to use it kind of like a flat iron is fantastic but not for a upset up. In its defense that was the first time me using a hot comb and maybe dont have the technique down. Also i didnt lose any hair as someone I believed mentioned. This iron is REALLY hot like it says it is.

I absolutely like this pressing comb. The way it was made is a small odd since you can accidentally turn it off when picking it up. But, the comb maintains its heat and I am able to press my hair in a very small amount of time. The only drawback is that you have to be very careful with the amount of hair you try to press since hair can get tangled at the bottom of comb and be pulled out.

I have natural African-American hair which is very thick and coarse. I used this product and it worked exactly how I wanted it too. It straightened my new growth and ends. After using it, I used my friends straightener and my hair was stick straight.

This review is for the Andis 38300 High Heat Press Comb.
PROS: Quick to heat up.
CONS: Setting notches, resting hook, on/off thrash.
This straightening comb is really nice but has some design flaws that are listed below:
It has 20 settings that are accessed on the side of the handle but only five marked notches; 0, 5, 10, 15, and 20. Basically, if you want a temperature of 17 then you need to go the wheel between 15 and 20 as here is no actual number labeled as 17 (and so forth).
Here are two screws below the comb area with a resting hook. I found the screw/hook area snagged my hair and was pulling it out. I have removed the resting hook and now use a heat resistant device to house my straightening comb on.
The on/off thrash is located on the handle so when pressing your hair you might accidently press the off button.
Overall, I am pleased with this comb. It is fantastic for a consumer but I am not sure if it would be excellent for primary qualified use, although using it as a backup qualified comb might be ok.

Do not buy this pressing comb! I am constantly accidentally hitting the on/off thrash causing the iron to turn off. Although I have removed the resting area on the comb, my hair subdue gets trapped between the comb and the handle – it yanks out my hair. I have stopped using this item and have resorted to a flat iron that works much better and gives better results.
