I just received my portable “wonderwash” and this spin dryer. I washed two large men’s shirts in the washer yesterday (a “large” load), left he bucket upside down to drain over night, and placed them in the dryer this am. I have no counter space to speak of, so I placed the dryer in the bathtub. I was a bit concerned since the bathtub walls were not two feet away from the dryer, as instructions recommend, but it worked perfectly. Much more silent than the washer. I did not wring the shirts before putting them in the machine (which they nicely filled), so while not sopping, they were subdue honestly wet. At first the water came out in a steady spill, but it took 40 minutes for water to stop trickling out of the drain hose. At that point, the shirts were only slightly damp (some areas were even starting to look their normal lighter color). I hung them on hangers to dry, left for a couple of hours, and returned to find them completely dry. They were also much less furrowed than when I used to wring and hang dry. (Of course it IS winter, and the air is VERY dry. I’m sure it would take longer in summer damp.) I don’t know yet how well it will hold up in the long run, but at the second , in spite of the longer than expected drying time, I couldn’t be more satisfied with my buy.

This is a poor machine. When it spins it starts tender around which is a very huge problem. Second unenthusiastic is the poor way the water comes out if here is just a small bit too much water to eliminate it does infiltrate inside the machine and here is no way to take it out. Then afterwards it goes always inside the machine.

I bought this spin dryer several months ago to go with my marvel washer. It works fantastic. When it first starts up it does like to go around a bit until the load stabilizes, but I just place my hand on the top to hold it down/in house for a few seconds until it gets up to top speed and the load stabilizes. Sometimes the load doesn’t stabilize itself, and you have to open the lid and re-stabilize the load physically. (WAIT until the machine comes to a perfect stop before reaching into the machine!) Gets out an UNBELIEVABLE amount of water. I got a hanging drying rack and a set of three hangers with 8 clips each and that is what I use to hang my clothes up on the shower curtain rod to dry. My clothes generally dry overnight. It’s not terribly huge – as a larger woman, I can fit 1 of my floor-length skirts and either two bras and two pairs of underwear, or a shirt in each load. Spins each load dry in under 5 minutes. Also when I’m done I leave the lid open to let the unit dry out. Have not had a single problem with this unit. Fantastic job Laundry Alternative!

I just received my spin dryer today. I followed directions that came with. Took the plastic piece off the bottom. Place some clothing in and it only barely spins. Just a trickle of water comes out. Thinking I may have place too much in it I took out all but one pair of underwear. Same thing, barely spins and nearly stops. In the distress shooting in the booklet it states that the brake may be set too tight. It does not say where to find the brake. Can anyone help me on this? If so please email me at ladyhobo@charter.net

Performs as mfg.claims,so I can’t nag about small capacity.I cram it full, set timer for 5 minutes, hold it steady for a few seconds ’til it runs charming, & walk away.Stuff comes out damp & dries quick on hangers in front of window a/c.I live in an apt w/ no w/d hookups & this beats sitting in a laundromat & you know what has been in the machine.I’m very pleased w/ mine.
