I just received my spin dryer today. I followed directions that came with. Took the plastic piece off the bottom. Put some clothing in and it only barely spins. Just a trickle of water comes out. Thinking I may have put too much in it I took out all but one pair of underwear. Same thing, barely spins and almost stops. In the trouble shooting in the booklet it states that the brake may be set too tight. It does not say where to find the brake. Can anyone help me on this? If so please email me at ladyhobo@charter.net

I bought this spin dryer several months ago to go with my wonder washer. It works great. When it first starts up it does like to move around a bit until the load stabilizes, but I just put my hand on the top to hold it down/in place for a few seconds until it gets up to top speed and the load stabilizes. Sometimes the load doesn't stabilize itself, and you have to open the lid and re-stabilize the load yourself. (WAIT until the machine comes to a complete stop before reaching into the machine!) Gets out an UNBELIEVABLE amount of water. I got a hanging drying rack and a set of three hangers with 8 clips each and that is what I use to hang my clothes up on the shower curtain rod to dry. My clothes generally dry overnight. It's not terribly big - as a larger woman, I can fit 1 of my floor-length skirts and either two bras and two pairs of underwear, or a shirt in each load. Spins each load dry in under 5 minutes. Also when I'm done I leave the lid open to let the unit dry out. Have not had a single problem with this unit. Great job Laundry Alternative!

This is a poor machine. When it spins it starts moving around which is a very big problem. Second negative is the poor way the water comes out if there is just a little bit too much water to eliminate it does infiltrate inside the machine and there is no way to take it out. Then afterwards it goes always inside the machine.

I just received my portable "wonderwash" and this spin dryer. I washed two large men's shirts in the washer yesterday (a "large" load), left he bucket upside down to drain over night, and placed them in the dryer this am. I have no counter space to speak of, so I placed the dryer in the bathtub. I was a bit concerned because the bathtub walls were not two feet away from the dryer, as instructions recommend, but it worked beautifully. Much more quiet than the washer. I did not wring the shirts before putting them in the machine (which they nicely filled), so while not sopping, they were still fairly wet. At first the water came out in a steady stream, but it took 40 minutes for water to stop trickling out of the drain hose. At that point, the shirts were only slightly damp (some areas were even starting to look their normal lighter color). I hung them on hangers to dry, left for a couple of hours, and returned to find them completely dry. They were also much less wrinkled than when I used to wring and hang dry. (Of course it IS winter, and the air is VERY dry. I'm sure it would take longer in summer humidity.) I don't know yet how well it will hold up in the long run, but at the moment , in spite of the longer than expected drying time, I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase.

This is the skinniest neck brush I've ever seen. It's probably only about 1" in diameter. I'll take their word for it that it's real boar bristle but the ends are all raggedy and the bristles very sparse.
I'd rather have had synthetic bristles and a brush that can really brush.
Not a major investment, granted but now I have to order another and after this experience don't trust the pictures here on Amazon.com any more.

Its a little tight to pull apart for emptying at first but I love that it collects the shrapnel.

The Henckels fingernail clipper is sharp, requiring little "squeeze" effort and fits well in a man's hand (might be a little large for a woman's hand). It boasts the ability to catch clippings - and DOES. On the negative side, and although the arc of the head does not look to be too curved, it does seem to leave rough spots on the nails.

I bought my first pair at Nordstrom's and have loved them ever since. My husband travels and needed a good pair so I took my pair to visit him and then decided we needed more than one and found them on Amazon. We have had some very poor clippers in the past, the get dull and break the nail when you clip, this is a sharp, easy to use pair of nail clippers and well worth the money. The case comes off and I don't use it but when you spend money on your nails these clippers are an awesome investment.
